U2 gives impromptu performance on Chelsea street

CHELSEA, Manhattan (WABC) -- It wasn't just your average band playing on a street corner in Chelsea. In fact, those walking by were shocked to stumble across one of the biggest rock bands in the world performing below the High Line - U2.

Bono, The Edge and his band-mates performed on 26th Street Friday afternoon after giving fans just 30 minutes notice on Facebook.

The Irish rock group was playing songs to promote their new album.
