Rose Ann Scamardella reflects on relationship with Ernie Anastos

NEW YORK (WABC) -- The legendary Rose Ann Scamardella joined Eyewitness News anchor Mike Marza to reflect on her almost 50-year friendship with her former co-anchor Ernie Anastos, who died Thursday at the age of 82.

Scamardella, who left WABC-TV in 1983 after working with Ernie since 1978, was in touch with Anastos just days ago and, like so many people, was shocked by his death.

She recalled him as the most positive man she ever met, who brought the best out in her and was a great support to her in their days as the highly popular anchors of Eyewitness News.
