NEW YORK -- Police are looking for a man who they said impersonated a police officer then robbed a teenager.

On Oct. 14 at 4 p.m., a 13-year-old crawled under the turnstile to avoid paying at the subway station at 168th Street and Ft. Washington Avenue.

The suspect then posed as a police officer, stopped the victim, telling him he needed to borrow his phone to take some photos, according to a New York City Police Department news release. The suspect took the victim's HTC-One cell phone and said he would be right back. The suspect then fled and did not return.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call 800-577-TIPS, submit tips at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or text tips to 274637(CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
