• Special Weather Statement

A combination of dry and windy conditions will create an elevated risk of wildfire spread across northeast Pennsylvania. Minimum relative humidity will dip to about 25 percent and wind gusts between 20 to 30 mph are also expected Wednesday afternoon. Residents are urged to exercise caution if handling any potential ignition sources, such as machinery, cigarettes, or matches. If dry grasses and tree litter ignite, the fire will have the potential to spread rapidly.
