Window washer falls from 3rd flood, dies on Upper East Side

UPPER EAST SIDE, Manhattan (WABC) -- A window washer fell to his death at an Upper East Side home in Manhattan Monday morning.

The 57-year-old worker fell just before 11:45 a.m.

Officials said he was cleaning the windows on the third floor when he fell.

The homeowner told Eyewitness News that the man apparently lost his balance and fell. He comes to the building twice a year to wash the windows.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The NYPD is investigating the incident.
