Woman pushed onto subway tracks in East Village
Diana Williams has more details on the subway push in the East Village.

EAST VILLAGE, Manhattan (WABC) -- An unidentified woman was pushed onto a set of subway tracks in Manhattan on Tuesday night.

Police say the 49-year-old victim was pushed onto the northbound track of the F line inside the 2nd Avenue station in the East Village at around 9 p.m.

No train was approaching the station at the time of the incident.

The woman was taken to Bellevue Hospital with a laceration to her head.

The suspect, said to be in his 20s wearing all black, fled the scene.
