No school for students at Paterson elementary after fire breaks out in classroom

Breaking news from Paterson, N.J.

PATERSON (WABC) -- There will be no school for students tomorrow at an elementary school in Paterson, New Jersey. Clean-up crews are still working on mopping up and repairing the damage from a fire in a classroom at Napier Academy, also known as School No. 4.

The school was evacuated just after noon on Thursday after flames broke out. The good news is, no one was in the classroom at the time.

The smell of smoke permeated the surrounding areas.

There is no word yet on what started the blaze.
