UPPER EAST SIDE, Manhattan (WABC) -- Police are investigating a collission at an entrance to Central Park that critically injured a scooter driver.
Investigators say a 29-year-old man was thrown from his Vespa when he collided with a livery cab at 86th Street at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday.
Authorities say the scooter driver may have run a red light and hit the SUV that was turning onto Fifth Avenue.
One person in the SUV suffered minor injuries.
