The teen alleged that after four officers came to her house Friday and arrested her live-in boyfriend on a domestic violence charge, one of them returned early Saturday and attacked her.
She reported the alleged incident on Monday, when she went to the district attorney's office and tried to get charges against her boyfriend dismissed.
Carroll said the sergeant, a nine-year veteran, "has a sterling record."
