NYPD finds object size of plane engine

NEW YORK The object is 16 feet long and 8 feet wide. It's in about 60 feet of water north of the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum where boats resumed searching Tuesday.

The New York Police Department says the currents are too strong to put a robotic device into the murky water to confirm whether the object is the engine. Divers are in the water trying to examine the object.

The Airbus A320 crash-landed in the Hudson last week after hitting birds and losing thrust in both engines. All 155 people on board survived. The rest of the plane was taken to a New Jersey marina over the weekend.
