9 families homeless after row home fire in Brooklyn

BUSHWICK, Brooklyn

The fire broke out in the three-story row house on Menahan Street at 5:52 p.m. on Thursday.

The fire started in 201 and quickly spread to 199 and 203.

Some 140 firefighters were one the scene within two minutes.

The nine families in all three of the buildings were told they could not return to their homes.

No one was injured.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
