Many Lincoln Park residents, fearing more congestion in their already-crowded neighborhood, had voiced their opposition to the developer's plan to build a grocery store, office, apartments and townhomes on the site.
But after mediation from Mayor Rahm Emanuel, the Sun-Times reports, the developer has agreed to scale back plans to address the neighborhood's concerns.
