The attack happened just after 4 a.m. Sunday at the corner of Frisby Avenue and St. Peter's Avenue in the Westchester Village section.
The victim was walking home when he was approached by a male in a ski mask displaying a black firearm and demanding money. Five additional males, all wearing either similar masks or hoods, approached and forced the victim to the ground.
The suspects beat the victim and stole his phone and money, then kicked him one more time in the head before taking off.
He suffered injuries to his face and was treated at an area hospital.
