Hicksville Bank of America robbed by man in Yankees cap

HICKSVILLE, N.Y. -- A man in a Yankees ball cap robbed a Hicksville bank Monday afternoon.

According to Nassau County police, at 2 p.m. Monday, a man entered the Bank of America at 20 Jerusalem Ave. in Hicksville.

According to the Nassau County Police Department, he approached a teller with a handgun and demanded cash. The subject then fled on foot with an unknown amount of money.

He is described as white, 5 feet 6 inches tall, about 40, wearing a New York Yankees baseball cap, black leather jacket and black sunglasses.

No injuries were reported. There were six employees and three customers in the bank at the time.
