NYPD investigating after 1 man found dead, another hurt in Queens

QUEENS, N.Y. (WABC) -- Police are investigating a homicide that occurred early Saturday morning in Queens.

Police responded to a reception hall at 37-27 57th Street where a 25-year-old man had been shot in the leg and back. According to the New York City Police Department, a 24-year-old man was also at the scene with blunt force trauma to his head.

Both victims were taken to Elmhurst General Hospital where the 24-year-old was pronounced DOA. The condition of the other man has not been released.

The investigation is ongoing. The victims have not been identified pending family notification.
