Construction workers find human remains during dig in Brooklyn

EAST FLATBUSH, Brooklyn (WABC) -- An investigation is underway after human remains were discovered by construction workers in Brooklyn.

The crew was repairing a sewer near a psychiatric hospital on Clarkson Avenue in East Flatbush at the time.

Authorities say a skull, an arm, and leg bones were found 13 feet underground.

The medical examiner confirms the remains are human, but it's not clear how long they've been there.

At this point, investigators say it does not appear that criminal wrongdoing was involved in the victim's death.
