Fire started in Bensonhurst restaurant and spread to 2 adjoining buildings before being extinguished

BENSONHURST, Brooklyn (WABC) -- A fire broke out Saturday evening on New Utrecht Avenue in Bensonhurst.

The fire started around 10:00 p.m. at El Divino Rey, a Mexican restaurant on the bottom floor of a two-story building.

Flames quickly spread through the ceiling of 2 adjoining buildings, according to the FDNY.

The fire was upgraded to 3-alarms and it took 110 firefighters to extinguish the blaze.

No injuries were reported. Officials are still investigating the cause of the fire.
