EAST VILLAGE (WABC) -- There's a remarkable story of survival following last week's explosion in the East Village.

Three missing cats have been found alive, days after the deadly building blast.

Workers with the ASPCA and the NYPD searched 125 Second Avenue, which was heavily damaged and still under a full vacate order.

They found two cats under an owner's bed, the third found hiding in another apartment.

One owner, Kathleen Blomberg, was reunited with her two cats: Kitty Cordelia and Sebastian.

A second owner, Yvonne Collery, was reunited with her cat Laszlo who was found on the 4th floor of 125 2nd Avenue on Monday.

Mrs. Collery is still searching for her 2nd cat Lulu.

The ASPCA, FDNY, and NYPD are still working to locate other missing animals.
