Pedestrian hurt when he's struck by car in Chelsea

NEW YORK (WABC) -- A pedestrian was critically injured after he was struck by a car in Chelsea.

The man was struck just before 3 a.m. at Eighth Avenue at West 26th Street. He had been getting out of his parked car when he was hit by a passing car.

The man was taken to Bellevue Medical Center, with non life-threatening injuries.

The driver was questioned at the scene, but was not charged.
