Coney Island's Cyclone roller coaster breaks down, stranding riders
AJ Ross has more details.

CONEY ISLAND (WABC) -- Coney Island's historic Cyclone roller coaster got stuck Saturday for the second time this year. Riders were stuck for about an hour.

Eventually riders were taken off the ride, climbing down a side ladder. The first time the 88-year-old ride got stuck was on opening day back in March.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and everyone made it down safely. However, just what caused the malfunction remains a mystery.

Eyewitness News noticed operations staff putting some sort of coating on the track. The operations manager is still inside working to ensure that the coaster is safe.
