HARLEM (WABC) -- Police said a man who escaped from police while wearing handcuffs is back in custody.

Tareek Arnold, 23, was found hiding in an apartment building on Fifth Avenue in Harlem Monday night. Police received a tip that he was there. Members of the U.S. Marshals Regional Task Force and the NYPD were involved in the arrest.

Back in June, Arnold was arrested in connection with a shooting at a bodega. He was being transported from the 32nd Precinct station to Central Booking when he made a run for it in June.

Arnold's charges are pending.
