NEWARK, N.J. (WABC) -- Seven people, including five underage teenagers, have been arrested in connection with four unrelated murders in Essex County, New Jersey.
The county prosecutor announced Monday that charges were filed in each case.
Here's a breakdown of the arrests in each case:
Suspect arrested: Felipe Amaral, 25, of Newark
Victim: Dario Rodrigues, 64, of Newark
Case Details: Police said Amaral was involved in the stabbing death of Rodrigues, which occurred on July 3 on Somme Street in Newark. Amaral was arrested on July 31 and has been charged with murder, felony murder, burglary and weapons offenses. He's being held on a $1 million bond.
Suspect arrested: Lance Herbert, 24, of Jersey City
Victim: Karieem Stamps, 46, of Newark
Case Details: Police said Herbert was involved in the shooting death of Stamps, which occurred June 24 on South 16th Street in Newark. Herbert was arrested July 30 and has been charged with aggravated manslaughter and weapons offenses. He's being held on a $500,000 bond.
Suspects arrested: Four unnamed juveniles, ages 17, 16, 16, 15
Victim: Ryan Edwell, 38, of East Orange
Case Details: Police said the teens are facing aggravated assault charges in connection with the death of Edwell, who was shot on July 16 on Princeton Street in East Orange. Edwell died 10 days later.
The prosecutor's office also said another teen has been charged in the murder of 32-year-old Qua-Shawn Chaney, of Newark. Chaney was shot and killed July 17. Last week, 22-year-old Jessie McNeill, of Newark, and two 17-year-olds were arrested in connection with the case. A third 17-year-old has since been charged in connection with the crime.
