Long Island man accused of raping 6-year-old girl, 7-year-old girl

FLANDERS, Long Island (WABC) -- Police have arrested a Long Island man accused of raping two young girls, ages 6 and 7.

Shawn Reid, of Flanders, was taken into custody by Southampton Town Police Thursday following a 10-week investigation into sexual assault allegations.

Detectives were assisted in their investigation by Suffolk County Child Protective Services and the Southampton Town Police Community Response Unit.

Reid is charged with two counts of first-degree rape.
