On Video: Hero dog defends home, chases bears away

MONROVIA, Calif. -- A little French bull dog named Jules sprang into action when two bears jumped the fence surrounding her California home.

A home security camera caught Jules barking at and chasing the bears, which were several times her size.

The small dog even lunged at one of them.

Wildlife officials believe the bears were searching for food after wildfires destroyed parts of their habitat.

Her owner gave Jules a bath, a treat and lots of kisses for her heroic act.
