GARFIELD (WABC) -- Gunfire wounded a police officer and a suspect in a shopping center parking lot in Garfield, New Jersey on Tuesday.
The incident happened outside a Marshalls at 174 Passaic Street.

Authorities say a Paramus police detective sustained a leg injury. He was alert, conscious and talking at Hackensack University Medical Center, officials said. His wife and father are there with him.
Officer was working with the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Narcotic Task Force, which was engaged in undercover drug operation at the time of the shootout.
One suspect was also wounded and taken to St. Joseph's Hospital in Paterson.
A second suspect was taken into custody at the scene. State police tweeted they arrested a third suspect on the Garden State Parkway in Bergen County and will transfer the suspect to Bergen County prosecutors.
