Governors Island First Annual Kite Festival

NEW YORK -- This is your last chance to visit Governors Island for the season - so come fly a kite!

Brooklyn ARTery gift shop and gallery is launching its first kite festival on September 27th from 11-4 p.m. at the Parade Grounds (close walk from ferries) to celebrate the final weekend of the season with a fabulous family event.

Bring, purchase or create your own kite with the collaboration of the Children's Museum of the Arts (CMA).

Enjoy live music from Bombay Rickey, a Brooklyn-based band and enter a raffle packed with arts and recreational classes for kids and adults, season passes to CMA, Governors Island, and Prospect Park Alliance and more!

Music, refreshments and fun for the whole family. All activities are FREE!
