Man broke into Bedford-Stuyvesant apartment, ran off when woman screamed, police say

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, Brooklyn (WABC) -- Police in Brooklyn are looking for help catching a burglar who was scared off when his victim woke up.

Around 8 a.m. on Nov. 23, the suspect entered a woman's apartment on Herkimer Street while she was sleeping.

The suspect fled when the victim began to scream, according to the New York City Police Department.

The suspect is described as a man, about 27, 5 feet 8 inches and 140 pounds.
