RIVERHEAD, N.Y. (WABC) -- Fourteen suspects were arraigned Wednesday in a Bronx-to-Suffolk County heroin distribution network.

Officials have been investigating accused Bronx heroin mill operator, Robert Maldonado, 28, and Maldonado customer Winston Rose, 35, of Deer Park. Rose is a parolee accused of regularly selling heroin to other dealers and to users.

"Over a period of six weeks in April and May of this year, Maldonado allegedly delivered over 20,000 ready-for-street sale bags of heroin, driving the deliveries himself from his heroin mill in the Mount Eden Section of the Bronx to Rose's home at 65 Crown Street," Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota said in a news release.

Ten residents in Deer Park, Coram, Rocky Point, Northport, Bay Shore and East Islip were arraigned; they were arrested June 5.

Maldonado and another Bronx man were arrested in the Bronx June 2.
