NEW YORK -- Get ready to travel swiftly through the "eras" on daytime television's biggest Halloween celebration!

"Live with Kelly and Mark" is celebrating the spooky holiday with an eras-themed show highlighting the best moments in pop culture.

This year's Halloween special will certainly live up to its reputation as the no. 1 entertainment talk show on television. With celebrity guest cameos and over 50 different costumes to show off, you can count on Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos to co-host the show in style.

They will gather before the sun comes up for the first time since the pandemic and while Consuelos has shown up on previous Halloweens playing various characters, this is his first since being named co-host.

"I've only watched it on TV so I can't wait to see the ingenuity and how creative these people are," Consuelos said.

In the past, the Halloween episode has been among the highest rated of the year. The show's producer, Michael Gelman, and his staff spend a year looking for answers.

"The day after Halloween we start putting things aside for next Halloween," Ripa said. "We just want to be as topical as possible. It's so pop culture-centric that we like our Halloween to be as relevant as possible so things could change or be added."

The show's annual costume contest is also set to return, in which audience members and viewers at home can compete for their share of $10,000 in prize money. You can find out how to enter the contest on "Live's" website.
