Pedestrian fatally struck, dragged in hit-and-run in East Farmingdale

EAST FARMINGDALE, N.Y. (WABC) -- A pedestrian was fatally struck in a hit-and-run in East Farmingdale overnight.

Around 3:45 a.m. Friday, the victim appears to have been hit and dragged by the vehicle on Route 109 at Wellwood Avenue.

Police are looking for a silver SUV with front-end damage that left the scene.

A stretch of Route 109 was closed between Wellwood Avenue and the Southern State Parkway for the investigation.
