Police in Suffolk County arrested nine people they say were involved in a street takeover on Friday.
A Long Island teenager is under arrest after police say he caused a crash while drag racing last month.
Students and staff members at Farmingdale State College on Long Island were told to shelter in place Wednesday while police investigated a report that someone was assembling a rifle in a school parking lot.
The incident happened early Saturday at Republic Airport in East Farmingdale.
According to Suffolk County Police, Ravi Maharaj was driving a 1995 Nissan Maxima southbound on New Highway at about 4 p.m., approximately one mile south of Conklin Avenue when he apparently lost control of his car, struck a fence and numerous headstones inside St. Charles Cemetery.
Around 3:45 a.m. Friday, the victim appears to have been hit and dragged by the vehicle on Route 109 at Wellwood Avenue.
