Police investigating deadly double stabbing inside Long Island home

MASSAPEQUA, Long Island (WABC) -- Police are investigating a deadly double stabbing inside a home in Nassau County.

Detectives say a 34-year-old man attacked two women at a home on Saturday night on North Manhattan Avenue in Massapequa.

Officers say they arrested the suspect moments after he tried to take his own life.

One woman died from her injuries on Sunday morning.

The surviving victim remains in critical condition.
