CANARSIE, Brooklyn (WABC) -- A search is underway for three people after a woman was grazed in the left arm during a shooting in Brooklyn on Monday.
The shooting happened around 1:10 p.m. at 1660 Ralph Ave. in the Canarsie section right near the Glenwood Houses and the Glenwood Playground.
Police say the victim, a 52-year-old woman, was grazed in the left arm, and was taken to Brookdale Hospital where she is expected to survive.
They say the woman did not appear to be the intended target, but it's unclear who the gunmen were aiming at.
Three males fled on a scooter headed westbound towards Kings Highway, according to police.
No arrests have been made so far, and the investigation remains ongoing.
Monday's shooting in Canarsie comes just one day after 33-year-old Sofronia Hartzog was shot and killed less than three miles away outside a nightclub in Crown Heights.
Investigators told Eyewitness News they are now looking into the possibility she may have been the intended target.
There were about 200 people hanging out near the intersection of Howard Avenue in Bergen Street in Crown Heights late Saturday night into Sunday morning when gunfire broke out after 2 a.m.
A 34-year-old man was also shot near the nightclub Saturday night. He was struck in the stomach and is recovering a Kings County Hospital.
Police are working to determine if he may to have been a target too.
