Man shot in Westchester park; suspect remains on loose

NEW ROCHELLE (WABC) -- A man is hospitalized after a shooting Sunday night at a park in New Rochelle.

Police say someone started shooting just before 10 p.m. near the basketball courts at Lincoln Park.

The victim was taken to Jacobi Medical Center with a bullet wound to the back. He is expected to survive.

The shooting also brought police to a nearby nursing home where a stray bullet appeared to go through a window.

No one was hurt there.

Police are still searching for the gunman.
