2 in Newark shot; 15-year-old dies

NEWARK, New Jersey -- Authorities say a 15-year-old girl has been fatally shot and another woman was wounded in Newark.

Prosecutors said the shooting happened early Saturday morning.

Hanayah Woods, of Newark, was pronounced dead at University Hospital around 1 a.m.

Authorities say a 25-year-old woman was grazed by a bullet. Her condition wasn't released.

No suspects have been identified and Essex County prosecutors and the Newark police department were investigating.
