19-year-old woman found stabbed to death in Bronx

BRONX, N.Y. (WABC) -- Police are investigating the stabbing death of a teenager in the Bronx Saturday morning.

Police officers responded Saturday around 9:30 a.m. to a building at 2600 Creston Ave., where they found a 19-year-old woman stabbed once in the chest.

EMS workers took the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The victim was identified later Saturday as Jasmine

Canton. She lived in the basement of the building where she was found, according to the New York City Police Department.

There have been no arrests in the case and the investigation is ongoing.
