MILL BASIN (WABC) -- Six firefighters were injured battling a fourth-alarm fire that tore through several homes in Brooklyn Monday afternoon.
The house on National Drive in Mill Basin caught fire just before 2:30 p.m. and quickly spread to as many as four neighboring structures.
By 4 p.m., the main body of the smokey fire had been knocked down, but the blaze was not under control for another hour or so.
It is unclear how serious the injuries are, but it is not believed any of them are life threatening.
There were 33 units and 138 firefighters on scene.
Two of the homes were completely gutted.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
