NEW YORK -- A gun buyback event in the Bronx has taken 128 firearms off the streets.
The guns were collected at three locations in the borough, in exchange for cash cards.
The NYPD and the Bronx District Attorney's office organized the buyback event.
The weapons included 78 revolvers, 38 semi-automatics, 3 assault weapons, 1 rifle, 2 shotguns, and 6 others, including BBs, zip guns, and starters.
