Yadira Arroyo, 44, was assigned to Station 26 in the Bronx.
She was killed Thursday night when a man took control of her ambulance and ran her over with it. She was rushed to the hospital, where died a short time later.
Tributes have been pouring in ever since. A makeshift memorial was set up at the scene where she was killed:

Arroyo was the eight member of FDNY EMS to die in the line of duty. Her fellow brothers and sisters packed into the Bronx Criminal Courthouse in a show of support, to shout down the criminal defense lawyer.
The MTA police officer who helped subdue the suspect offered his condolences.
"My heart breaks for the victim and her family and her partner, and the entire FDNY," said Officer Daniel McDade, MTA police.
