HOUSTON -- Hurricane Matthew is wrecking one Houston couple's wedding plans. They should be packing Wednesday night for their dream destination wedding, but instead are wondering what to do with less than 48 hours before they were supposed to say "I do."

Trudy La and Vinh Nguyen wanted a simple, stress-free wedding on the Carnival Fantasy cruise, departing Friday from Miami. However, their Thursday flight was canceled so they can't get to the port and Carnival posted online that the port may be open on Friday.

"I called Carnival see if they can help us out to see what we can do next and nobody is able to tell us anything because they haven't cancelled. They haven't made any adjustments so they do not have any other option for us," La explained.

La and Nguyen said they were more concerned about their 57 guests getting their money back than anything else. They would get refunds if the cruise was canceled, La said. Carnival posted online that it would provide an update on Thursday.

They haven't exchanged vows, but they are already weathering the "for better or for worse" part of marriage.
