Search for suspects in violent Bronx home invasion
Police say the suspects assaulted, tied up the victim and stole $343,000.

HIGHBRIDGE, The Bronx (WABC) -- Three armed suspects tied up, blindfolded and assaulted a woman during a violent home invasion in the Bronx before stealing $343,000 worth of jewelry, cash and other valuables, according to police.

The robbery happened around 10:15 p.m. Thursday near West 168th Street and Ogden Avenue in the Highbridge section of the Bronx. Investigators said three suspects displayed knives and a firearm before forcing their way into a residence.

Once inside, the suspects allegedly assaulted a 39-year-old woman, removed her clothing, blindfolded her and bound her hands and feet with duct tape.

Police said the trio then stole jewelry, cash, perfumes and a cellphone before fleeing on foot.

The victim suffered multiple injuries and was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln in stable condition.

The NYPD has released surveillance images of the suspects and is asking for the public's help identifying them. The investigation remains ongoing.
