OLD BRIDGE (WABC) -- The Old Bridge Police Department is investigating two home invasion robberies that took place within a week of each other.

The incidents happened on October 20 and 26 in the and Oakwood and Country Place sections the township.

During the late-evening hours, police say multiple suspects with handguns forced entry into the homes and demanded the residents provide cash and electronics.

The suspects reportedly separate the family members, putting them in different parts of the homes.

In the home invasion on the 26th, one of the victims was injured, beaten in front of his children, and taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police believe the same suspects are responsible for both home invasions, and they want to catch them before they strike again.

Residents are encouraged to lock doors, activate alarm systems and call if they see anyone suspicious.

Anyone with information should contact Middlesex County Crime Stoppers at (800) 939-9600.
