NEW YORK (WABC) -- Members of the New York City Police Department flew the French flag during the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Thursday, showing support for the country after it was recently attacked by terrorists.
The NYPD members carried the flag through the parade route, and it was located directly next to the U.S flag.
The department posted a photo on social media, with the message "waving the French flag in solidarity, the NYPD marches in the #MacysParade."
The NYPD has heightened security across the city since the attacks in France, which killed 130 and injured hundreds more.
