Sparta man charged in child sex assault

PATERSON, New Jersey (WABC) -- A Sparta man was arrested in connection with a child sex assault case.

Charles Card, 30, was taken into custody Monday, charged with one count of sexual assault and one count of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

According to the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office, Card is accused of assaulting a 10-year-old girl while attending the Beth Israel Worship Center in Wayne.

Bail was set at $150,000.
