Elderly Westchester nun, battling rare disease, to meet Pope Francis on his NYC visit

NEW YORK (WABC) -- A Facebook campaign that went viral is now helping a nun from Westchester County scratch a major wish off her bucket list.

She will soon meet the pope.

88-year-old Sister Noel Divine has been a member of the Maryknoll Sisters for 70 years.

Although she can no longer speak or walk due to ALS, Sister Noel will meet Pope Francis on Thursday during a prayer service at St. Patrick's Cathedral.
