2 workers shot by angry customer at Queens discount store, police say

Man accused of double shooting inside Queens discount store

JAMAICA, Queens (WABC) -- An argument between the customer and the workers escalated into gunfire at a store in Jamaica, Queens, police said.

The shooting happened at Great Savings on Jamaica Avenue on Saturday, just after 5 p.m.

Police say the suspect left the store but returned and opened fire.

A 34-year-old worker was shot in the chest and was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

A 55-year-old worker was struck in the leg. That employee was listed in stable condition.

The suspect is described as a man, approximately 6 feet tall, wearing gray sweatpants and a green sweater.

No arrests have been made.
