Arrest made in hit-and-run that killed 69-year-old woman in Midtown East

FREEPORT, New York (WABC) -- An arrest has been made in a hit-and-run that killed a 69-year-old woman in Midtown East early Wednesday morning.

Police said 43-year-old Bryan Guashpa Rumipamba struck and killed Espina Bundley as she was walking near a bike lane on East 57th Street and Second Avenue.

Rumipamba is charged with leaving the scene of a collision resulting in death, as well as multiple traffic violations.
