Up Close: Incumbent congressman, Mamdani-backed community organizer run in NY-13 primary

NEW YORK CITY (WABC) -- Early voting in New York City ends Sunday. Election day is Tuesday.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani, who is not on the ballot, could be a deciding factor in several key congressional races. He is supporting three more progressive candidates over the Democratic incumbents.

So, joining us is incumbent Congressman Adriano Espaillat, followed by Darializa Avila Chevalier, a community organizer now challenging Espaillat. As we've said, she has Mamdani's endorsement.

We'll also sit down with ABC News Washington Bureau Chief Rick Klein and Political Consultant Hank Sheinkopf about this race and the week we've had in politics.
