Up Close: Growing criticism of Mayor Mamdani's judicial advisory panel

NEW YORK CITY (WABC) -- Mayor Zohran Mamdani is facing growing criticism over why he did not appoint any Jewish members to his judicial advisory panel.

This comes as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu once again blasted Mamdani for calling for his arrest.

We'll ask Congressman Josh Gottheimer about that and the growing role of progressives in the Democratic Party.

Plus, Dr. Anthony Fauci refused to answer questions at a U.S. Senate hearing where Republicans are critical of his handling of the COVID pandemic.

So how did Dr. Fauci, the government's top infectious disease expert for nearly four decades, handle the pandemic and what are the long-term implications of vaccine skepticism that has followed?

We'll talk to the chief medical officer for New York City during the pandemic.

And for the second time in two weeks, the Tri-State area was hammered by huge and powerful rainstorms where some areas received more than half a foot of rain in just hours.
