NEW YORK CITY (WABC) -- It's been 25 years since September 11, 2001.
We're remembering the nearly 3,000 people killed in the worst terror attack in U.S. history on this episode of "Up Close."
More than 27,000 people were in Lower Manhattan when hijacked planes struck and brought down the Twin Towers.
On this episode of Up Close, George Pataki, who was governor of New York when the terrorists struck, shares his thoughts about that day, the bravery and sacrifices made, and the rebuilding that took place in Lower Manhattan after the attacks.
We'll have New York City's 37th FDNY Commissioner Lillian Bonsignore join us to talk about the 343 firefighters killed on that day and the more than 600 since from 9/11-related illnesses.
